Morrison Developmental Center is committed to providing the highest level of care for its students and adult consumers. After 50 years of service and over two decades at the Veranda Street property, current facilities are no longer adequate to accommodate the innovative programs and technology needs of the individuals at the Center.

The Board of Directors is thrilled to celebrate the next chapter of Morrison Developmental Center. The community is welcome for a visit to learn more about what the Center provides to individuals with disabilities and how you can become engaged in this phase of development.

Building Plans include:

• A 24,000 square foot facility built on a recently purchased 7-acre parcel in Scarborough, Maine
• Single-level campus to best serve children and adults with mobility challenges or who utilize wheelchairs
• 25% overall increase in space to allow for program strength and growth in Morrison Developmental Center’s 5 core programs
• Consolidated Speech, Occupational and Physical Therapy area
• Two greenhouses to foster the growth of the Seedlings Program and to welcome the community for greenhouse visits and plant purchases
• Attractive outdoor surroundings accessible to children and adults with special needs
